Aiming to increase the interest of young people in the field of space technologies, TEKNOFEST 2021 Rocket Competition was held in Aksaray Salt Lake between 1-12 September.

Being held for the fourth time this year, the Rocket Competition received 544 team applications by high school, associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students and graduates. 80 teams made it to the finals and competed fiercely for 12 days.

Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank and T3 Foundation Chairman of the Board of Trustees and TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar attended the Teknofest 2021 Rocket Competition held in Aksaray Salt Lake and watched the rockets fired.

Selçuk Bayraktar noted that TEKNOFEST has begun to develop into a culture and is moving in the direction they desire. Bayraktar also emphasized how encouraging it is that rocketry might develop into a hobby similar to fishing.

The top reward was set at 60 thousand TL, the second prize at 50 thousand TL, and the third prize at 40 thousand TL for each category, which included High School, Medium Altitude, and High Altitude.

Within the scope of TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions, the teams that ranked high in the Rocket Competition will receive their awards at TEKNOFEST to be held at Atatürk Airport on September 21-26, 2021.
